After 1945, it housed the Central Bank of the German Democratic Republic. With its extraordinarily high ceiling and glazed roof, the hotel’s impressive ballroom provides a splendid backdrop for your special events. It accommodates up to 250 guests. For meetings of up to 160 participants, 5 meeting rooms are available. All have natural light, are equipped with the latest technology, and can be accessed via a separate entrance. Room information The hotel offers a range of spacious rooms and suites which combine state-of-the-art technology with elegant décor. They provide generous areas for work and relaxation, while all bathrooms feature walk-in showers, limestone surfaces, glass panelling, heated mosaic flooring and natural daylight. Rooms offer a view either of Französische Strasse, St. Hedwig Cathedral or the inner courtyard. Some rooms have ceilings which are 4 metres high and include stucco details. Eat & Drink Our Mediterranean restaurant, Parioli, seats 120 and features a large terrace which is used for al fresco dining during the summer months. Our chefs have developed a cuisine based on traditional Italian and Mediterranean cooking. The bar has a contemporary feel and it includes a long bar overlooking Bebelplatz. The Opera Court is a grand room with an original glazed ceiling. It is the focal point for coffee and afternoon tea.
